Speleoklub "Bobry" ¯agañ has centred its exploration in the Tennengebirge-Ost massif in the Salzburg Alps. It is in this area that the club from ¯agañ explored two caves deeper than 1000 m: Meanderhöhle
(P-4) -1028 m and Bleikogelhöhle (P-35) -1021 m, and where they have set a new world record discovery the Hades shaft (-455 m), then the deepest single shaft. The expedition of 1996, which reached -1000 m in Bleikogelhöhle, has left in the cave many leads for further expedition.

The Tennengebirge - 1997-2000
July 1997
a team of seven cavers (R. Kondratowicz - leader, M. Furtak, R. ¦wi±tek, D. Oleksy, T. Ku¼nicki, F. Krakem - all from Speleoklub Bobry ¯agañ and M. Francuz from Speleoklub Warszawski), laden with hope of making the cave deeper, took out to the Tennengebirge. The greatest expectations were related with a "big black hole" at -930 m. The cave was rigged in a couple of actions. Unfortunately, this "a couple of actions" took 13 days. Never ending rain, snow and hail obstructed our work. During one of the actions, on 1st of August, M. Francuz and D. Oleksy were cut off by high water at - 820 m. At the same time R. ¦wi±tek and M. Furtak had a similar problem in our substitute target - Czerwony Paj±k (P-19) in the very tight Meander Topielców at - 200. Our expedition time was running out and we did not get yet to the main exploration goal. In the last attempt a team of two - T. Ku¼nicki and M. Furtak - made a traverse 15 m above the bottom of the Piast shaft and reached Mostek Kapitañski, a place reached earlier by M. Francuz and D. Oleksy who were forced to withdraw because of a bolt driver failure.
Furtak and Ku¼nicki explored about 200 m of descending muddy galleries and small shafts (10 Stycznia Series) reaching the depth of 1021 m. The cave was deepened, but our satisfaction was not full. Moreover, a couple of leads remained not checked higher in the cave. The bad weather hindered the fulfilment of all our goals; even for derigging we had only 20 hours left.
A year
later another expedition headed to the Tennen. The goals were the same as in 1997, namely Bleikogelhöhle (P-35) and Czerwony Paj±k (P-19). We started with Bleikogelhöhle, but several days of continuous work did not bring the expected outcome, so after completing missing surveys and doing some photographs we have moved with all our force to Czerwony Paj±k. This cave lies at the feet of Klein Grisskogel and the entrance is at altitude of 1750 m. Theoretically, P-19 may attain 1,000 m of depth, as the resurgences Tricklfall and Dachserfall lie at altitude of 700 m. Moreover, several unexplored entrances are known on the "Small Grisskogel", while on the nearby "Big Grisskogel", at altitude of 1950 m lies cave P-13 with a big entrance. Though leading to a snow chock after 20 metres, it also has a side gallery where, like Cerberus, a huge choked boulder guards the passage.
